Explain me the differences between LoL and DOTA2

Hi,

I am mostly a fps (Quake, QuakeLive, COD) and rts (Starcraft) player and basically having never really played any sort of MOBA games before, I decided to give both LoL and DOTA2 a go to see what the fuss was all about. I played through the LoL tutorial and the only feeling I had by the end was "is that it?". I then tried a few bot games of DOTA2 and it essentially felt exactly the same, except with better graphics. So what exactly am I Missing? Why do people play these games and what are the actual differences between the 2 (besides the obvious, like different heroes)?

Please help.

For me im more favorable on dota 2 since it had the largest prize pool over the world and better graphic ofcause. When i was young,i did play some few games on dota 1 so its connected all the hero picking and knowledge. As i know, most of the professional player from korea and china. Oppositely, dota2 player cover all around the world. Hopes that help you, lets join dota2.

This question has probably been posed YAWN multiple times.....  but do the 1/48 scale Hasegawa kits address all of these differences between kits? Ive been planning on buying an F-8,just havnt decided which one.Thanks for your patience and understanding.

I am not yet a owner of a Remington side-by-side. Ive been reading many of the threads and the answers posted, and I guess I should ask Santa for a copy of the Semmer book-- But nuts and bolts what are the basic differences between a 1896 extractor gun double trigger steel barrels and the same configuration but in the 1900 model?

Not trying to troll.  I think I played LoL for a few weeks about a year ago.  Or it may have been DotA.  I roughly know what the games are about gameplay-wise, but have no idea what the differences between them are.
